McCarthy Building Companies completed the $20-million, 18,000-square-foot renovation and expansion of the El Cortez Hotel & Casino, enhancing one of downtown Las Vegas, Nevada’s most storied landmarks while preserving its rich heritage. CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia, a member of CommonSpirit, in Catoosa County, Georgia, has topped out. The 134,000-square-foot hospital is scheduled to open in January 2026. The $126-million project budget covers all aspects of the new hospital, from construction and infrastructure to interior furnishings and advanced medical equipment and furnishings essential for patient care. Western Maricopa Education Center, a career technical education school district serving students in the Phoenix, Arizona West Valley, recently broke ground on a $13.5-million expansion of its Northeast Campus. The expansion will add two new training facilities, update equipment and create more space to serve additional students. McCarthy Building Companies celebrated the concrete pour topping out of the Sun Family Campus, the $500-million Hoag Hospital Irvine expansion project located in Irvine, California. Additional project members include LPA Design Studios, KPFF Consulting, TK1SC, Pan Pacific Plumbing and Nevell Group.
