SEAA Hosts Career Fair Highlighting the Steel Construction Industry
The Steel Erectors Association of America hosted nearly 300 students from five school districts and several dozen military veterans for its construction career fair in January 2022. SEAA’s Long Range Planning Committee spearheaded the event, which was hosted by member company Adaptive Construction Solutions, Inc., at its training facility in Houston, Texas. The career fair allowed attendees to rotate through stations staffed by member companies and equipment suppliers. SEAA Members Show Commitment to Ironworker Safety and Training
The Steel Erectors Association of America recently announced the recipients of the 2021 Safety Excellence Award and Craft Training Recognition Award. “These companies demonstrated a strong commitment to the safety and health of their employees,” said Bryan McClure, chairman of SEAA’s Safety and Education Committee. SEAA Supports Fall Prevention Safety Stand-Down
The Steel Erectors Association of America supports the National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction. The week-long focus on fall prevention will be held May 3-7. “The Stand-Down is an important initiative for erectors to get behind. SEAA encourages our members and other erectors to plan events at their jobsites,” said Geoff Kress, president of SEAA. SEAA Names Person of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Recipients
David Deem, president of Deem Structural Services, Longview, Texas and Bob Beckner, retired senior VP of Peterson Beckner Industries, Inc., Dallas, Texas, were recently honored by the Steel Erectors Association of America.
