McCarthy to Hire Local Workers for Assembly Solar Project in Michigan

McCarthy Building Companies Inc. plans to hire more than 200 craftworkers and 100 general laborers for Ranger Power’s Assembly Solar Project in Hazelton and Venice townships. Construction Employment Increases by 44K in January, 142K Over 12 Months

Construction employment increased by 44,000 jobs in January and by 142,000 over the past 12 months, as the industry’s unemployment rate hit a new January low, according to an analysis of new government data by the Associated General Contractors of America. Houston Community Supports Career Exploration

Lift & Move USA, hosted by Liebherr USA in Houston, Texas, received one of the largest ever groups of students at its recent event. Nearly 550 high school juniors, seniors, technical college students, teachers and administrators from 17 schools were in attendance. Construction Employment Increases in 38 States, D.C. from November 2018 to November 2019

Thirty-eight states and the District of Columbia added construction jobs between November 2018 and November 2019, while construction employment increased in 18 states from October to November, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of Labor Department data.
