Construction has started on Swinerton Builders’ latest hospitality project, a 10,000-square-foot restaurant in Charlotte, South Carolina’s South End neighborhood. The construction of Market on Morehead, a sister concept of the successful Market on Main in Columbia, South Carolina, is on schedule to be complete by year-end. The restaurant is expected to open this winter. Co-owned by restauranteur Josh Willoughby, Market on Morehead introduces a new element to the building’s ground-floor level overlooking the Rail Trail at Carson Station. Construction has commenced for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Northwest Division, located in North Carolina. Swinerton Builders is serving as the general contractor for the $19.7-million build. The project includes sustainable elements that create renewable energy onsite as part of Charlotte’s goal to power facilities and fleet vehicles entirely with zero-carbon sources by 2030. Swinerton Builders, a commercial general contractor, has announced the build-out of Dole Food Company’s new US headquarters in the One South building in Uptown Charlotte. The office construction project is expected to be completed this fall, with construction currently underway. Dole’s new US headquarters occupies the entire sixth floor of One South, a 40-story Class-A office tower.
