CAMARILLO, Calif. – Sundt Construction, Inc. recently completed a $2.4-million laboratory renovation at California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo.
Designed to accommodate the needs of the university’s biology and chemistry departments, the Design-Build project included installation and reconfiguration of casework, fume hoods, mechanical and electrical systems, and equipment within four existing dry laboratories inside the campus’s Aliso Hall building.
The Aliso Hall renovation is one of three projects Sundt has been contracted to build on the CI campus. Sundt also completed the campus’s Sierra Hall Classroom and Laboratory building and is constructing the university’s new Santa Rosa Village student housing complex, which is expected to be completed later this year. Other notable education projects completed by the firm across the state include the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union for San Diego State University in San Diego; the University of California, Davis’ Veterinary Medicine 3B Building in Davis and the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo Recreation Expansion in San Luis Obispo.
