EL PASO, Texas – Sundt Construction, Inc. has been selected to build the new Medical Science Building II at Texas Tech University’s Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas.
The $62-million project includes the construction of a 227,000-square-foot facility, housing complex research laboratories, lecture halls and classrooms, teaching space, faculty/researcher and staff offices and campus support space. Sundt’s scope of work also includes expanding utility infrastructure, adding additional parking and improving the surrounding landscape.
Sundt has a history of more than 45 years and more than $2 billion of project work throughout the Lone Star State. Among the general contractor’s Texas projects are the ongoing GO 10 in El Paso; the El Paso County 911 Regional Communications Center, El Paso; West Seventh Street Bridge, Fort Worth; Warrior in Transition Barracks at Fort Bliss, Fort Sam Houston and Fort Hood; Reunion Tower, Dallas; Legacy Town Centers, Plano; work at Austin Bergstrom International Airport; the Public Safety Answering Point 911 Dispatch Center, San Antonio and the Career and Technology Education building at Brackenridge High School, San Antonio.
