Hines and AG Real Estate have appointed Bateg (VINCI Construction France) to build the Hekla tower located in Paris, France.
The 220-meter-tall skyscraper will boast six underground levels, a 48-story superstructure, a two-story-high entrance hall and a tree-planted roof terrace.
This new office tower, with a surface area of approximately 80,000 square meters, forms part of a project to develop the Rose de Cherbourg area in the heart of the La Défense business district, and will benefit from a landscaped park (1.3 hectares) and a planted walkway above the circular highway.
Its façade, composed of 14 kilometers of shading elements, will contribute to the thermal regulation of the building, reducing the amount of air conditioning required while ensuring a comfortable working environment for its roughly 5,800 future occupants.
The works started this summer and will be completed in 2022.
