PORR Bau GmbH has secured a new large-scale order in Vienna, Austria’s 20th district. A general contractor agreement was signed with the property developer PREMIUM Immobilien AG for the project at Handelskai. The large-scale project involves building residential, commercial and office space on a plot of around 7,600 square meters directly beside Vienna’s Millennium Tower. Architects Gerner Gerner Plus will handle the design.
“The large-scale project at Handelskai will not only see the construction of a state-of-the-art residential complex, but generous commercial and office units as well. As a low-energy building, the project meets stringent sustainability criteria and offers high levels of comfort. Furthermore, it makes another important contribution to creating quality housing in Vienna – Austria’s most populous city,” said Karl-Heinz Strauss, CEO of PORR.
Directly beside Vienna’s Millennium Tower, PORR is building a total of 402 apartments with a gross floor area of 19,500 square meters and 243 parking spaces for the developer PREMIUM Immobilien AG. Residential units ranging from 31 square meters to 83 square meters, clever layouts and high-quality fittings and fixtures promise outstanding comfort.
Around 3,200 square meters of commercial space will be offered, alongside 2,100 square meters of office space. The project’s location stands out for its transport links, as well as extensive leisure options thanks to its direct proximity to the adjacent relaxation area on the banks of the Danube.
Moreover, the project has a range of special features such as urban gardening zones and generous communal spaces.
