Skanska has signed a contract with Campus Ullevål AS, the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, and Aspelin Ramm, to build Campus Ullevål in Oslo, Norway. The contract is worth NOK 1.0 billion, about SEK 1.0 billion.
Campus Ullevål will become a research center for climate, energy, environment and engineering-related geosciences, and will be one of the first buildings to be completed in Oslo Science City — the capital’s new innovation district.
When the project is completed, the current area consisting of parking spaces will have become a 36,000-square-meter research center with a lush, green square, meeting places for the public and activities for children. The project will be environmentally certified in accordance with BREEAM NOR Excellent.
Construction began in April 2023 and completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
