Design-Build Team to Deliver New Pomeranian Medical University

The Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, Poland has signed a contract for the construction of a new clinical, teaching and research building. The modern space will provide comfortable conditions for the development of a number of specialized departments and the expansion of the outpatient clinic complex. The contract was awarded to a consortium consisting of DORACO Construction Corporation (leader) and PORR (partner), who submitted a net offer of PLN 422,5m (EUR 95m).

The Design-Build consortium will be responsible for delivering design documentation and construction of the higher education building of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, the Center for Translational Medicine and Collegium Pharmaceuticum, along with the necessary technical infrastructure and land development on Unia Lubelska Street.

The buildings to be completed under the contract will have a net floor area of about 49,000 square meters, which is equivalent to the area of more than seven football fields.

The consortium will have 33 months to complete the order, which means the new facilities will be put into operation in the first half of 2026.
