Developer Northacre has selected Multiplex to deliver The Broadway development in Westminster, England, with the official contract signing recently carried out.
Following a successful nine-month, single-stage competitive tender process for the £422m Design-Build contract, Multiplex will now deliver the 1.72-acre mixed-use development on the site of the former Metropolitan Police headquarters. Once completed, The Broadway will comprise 268 apartments across six towers, 142,000-square-feet of commercial and retail accommodation, public realm and a new thoroughfare linking Victoria Street with St. James’s Park tube station.
Ian Pratt, project director at Multiplex said, “We are very pleased to secure this contract and look forward to working alongside Northacre to help realize their vision of making The Broadway the newest landmark destination for design, fashion and high-quality living.”
Multiplex is due to take possession of the site in February 2019 and the project is due to be completed in December 2021.
