McLaren Construction to Deliver Dubai Harbour Multi-Story Car Park

Shamal Holding has appointed McLaren International to expand the development of Dubai Harbour with a multi-story car park. Located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the development seeks to cater to a rise in demand for parking spaces due to population growth, tourism and urbanization.

With a contract value of circa AED 100+ million (circa £22+ million), this project consists of the full construction of 338,925-square-foot, nine-story car park including rooftop parking, with a total capacity of 836 spaces.

McLaren will be responsible with delivering the enabling works and all precast structures, incorporating delta beams on levels 2-8, together with all cantilevered in-situ slabs, planters, beams and all roof steel shade structures. The general contractor will manage and undertake the MEP installations throughout, including car park management systems and CCTV/security, car park traffic coatings and directional markings and signages.

McLaren will complete this fast-track project using technologies such as BIM, structural analysis software and offsite precast concrete manufacturing, to accelerate construction and create parking spaces ahead of global events taking place in and around the Dubai Harbour in 2026, and likely to attract significant visitors both during those events and in each year thereafter.

Dubai Harbour is a unique seafront destination, integrating enhanced residential, lifestyle, hospitality and retail experiences into an extraordinary community. With its spectacular backdrop, accessible location and purpose-built foundation, Dubai Harbour continues to evolve, enabling more people to experience seafront living, maritime excellence and the region’s most unique lifestyle offering in the world’s most dynamic city.
