Robins & Morton joined Huntsville Hospital Health System on Oct. 21 to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new $30-million North Huntsville Freestanding Emergency Department. The project represents the largest healthcare investment ever made in North Huntsville, Alabama.
The new facility will provide 24/7 emergency care for families in North Huntsville and surrounding communities, including Meridianville and Hazel Green. It will be staffed by board-certified physicians and equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging, including CT and ultrasound technology, on-site laboratory services and a helipad.
Patients who require hospitalization or more specialized care can be transferred to an appropriate hospital for continued treatment. The project is scheduled to be completed in December 2027. Robins & Morton is the general contractor. Chapman Sisson Architects is the architect.
