Novant Health and construction firm Robins & Morton reached structural completion at the new Novant Health Ballantyne Medical Center and Medical Office Building in Charlotte, North Carolina. Once complete in 2023, the $154-million investment will bring acute care resources to the growing suburban population in South Charlotte through a 216,236-square-foot state-of-the-art medical facility. Construction at La Cantera Town Center Improves Infrastructure, Serves Future Expansion

Sundt Construction has recently completed the development of new streets in the Town Center at La Cantera, located in San Antonio, Texas, improving the area’s infrastructure and adding two parks. Located on the northwest corner of Loop 1604 and IH-10, the improvement project constructed approximately 4,500 linear feet of asphalt and paver parkway streets. Sundt also added associated water, sewer, gas, communication, electrical, stormwater utility infrastructure and landscape improvements. Monthly Construction Input Prices Rise in January, Says ABC

Construction input prices rose 3.5% in January compared to the previous month, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Producer Price Index data. Nonresidential construction input prices increased 3.1% for the month. Construction input prices are up 23.6% over the past 12 months, while nonresidential construction input prices rose 24.3%. Input prices for natural gas and unprocessed energy materials fell for the month by 26.1% and 4.7%, respectively. Crude petroleum prices increased 15.5% in January. Abt Electronics’ Glenview Facility Gains 430,000-Square-Foot Addition

McShane Construction Company completed a 429,524-square-foot addition to Abt Electronics’ warehouse and showroom facility in Glenview, Illinois. The expansion more than doubled Abt’s warehouse space, allowing the company to improve their efficiency and expand product lines. The addition incorporates two three-story office blocks totaling 22,230 square feet and 407,294 square feet of warehouse space. The office buildouts include trucking offices, security offices, a break room and open office space for future buildouts. The single-story warehouse offers a 32-foot clear height, 39 semi-truck docks and 144 EOD box truck positions.
