Construction of Collin College Technical Campus in Allen, Texas is complete. The new campus, now open for all students for the fall 2020 semester, specializes in high-demand technical workforce education. Courses are available in automotive, construction, healthcare, computer networking, electronics and more. New CPWR COVID-19 Exposure Control Planning Tool Available

CPWR has developed multiple resources for the construction industry to help protect workers from COVID-19, prevent its spread and keep jobsites open. In addition to developing the COVID-19 Standards for U.S. Construction Sites in conjunction with NABTU this spring, the organization has created a Toolbox Talk, the COVID-19 Construction Clearinghouse, and recently launched a free online COVID-19 Exposure Control Planning Tool. Construction is complete on the SoFi Stadium, the new home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, in Inglewood, California. The project team including Turner-AECOM Hunt, the joint venture of Turner Construction Company and AECOM Hunt, part of AECOM, recently celebrated the opening of the 3.1-million-square-foot facility, which is the first football stadium erected in Los Angeles in nearly a century. GPS Tracker Provides Jobsite Profitability

For construction contractors, the Shadow Tracker Vision III, from Advanced Tracking Technologies, provides real-time, 24/7 vehicle tracking capability, enabling optimal resource allocation and profitability across jobsites. The real-time location can be displayed via a PC or smartphone app on a map, with “zoom in” on any vehicle. At a glance, contractors can see if a vehicle is moving (displays green) or stopped (displays red). The system provides real-time location updates every 10 seconds, as well as speed and idle-time alerts. In addition, the system has access to nationwide speed limits in its database, which can help deter driver speeding.
