Employment in the construction industry is typically based on relatively short-term contracts. In recent years, new types of nonstandard work arrangements, such as on-call workers, day laborers and workers provided by contract firms, have emerged in construction. A new study by CPWR’s Data Center analyzed types of nonstandard work arrangements in the construction industry using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ 2017 Current Population Survey’s Contingent Worker Supplement. PORR to Build 3T Office Park in Poland’s Tri-City

3T Office Park, the largest office complex in the region, is taking shape in Gdynia, one of the three cities that make up Poland’s Tri-City (Gdansk-Gdynia-Sopot). PORR S.A is the general contractor of the investment project, while Gleed Polska is responsible for the comprehensive project management and coordination regarding the building’s BREEAM certification. Bechtel International Team Completes Chernobyl Arch Project

Bechtel ‘s international team at Chernobyl (Ukraine) has successfully concluded a critical test that signifies the completion of a decades-long effort to protect the environment. The massive containment arch is now complete and in place over the damaged reactor – 33 years to the day after the 1986 accident. The arch, known as New Safe Confinement, will protect the environment from further releases of radioactive materials, and protect the damaged reactor from weather, tornado and seismic events. Hill International Selected for Project, Construction Management Services for Qatar Airport Expansion

Hill International was recently selected to provide project management and construction management services for the expansion of Hamad International Airport in the state of Qatar.
