Research Reveals Root Causes Behind Construction Project Delays

New research from STARC Systems, developed in partnership with Construction Dive, reveals that project delays have become the norm across the construction industry — and that many of the most impactful causes are preventable. Based on a survey of 150 construction leaders, the report finds that only one in three contractors say most of their projects start on time, while more than half of delays last one to three months or longer. A concourse expansion project at Myrtle Beach International Airport in South Carolina is complete. The project team, which included JE Dunn Construction/Southside Constructors joint venture and Gresham Smith, recently celebrated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. University of Georgia, Turner Celebrate School of Medicine Building Milestone

The final beam for the University of Georgia School of Medicine’s medical education and research building was recently set into place — a milestone that marks the completion of the structural phase of the building.
