The Association of Equipment Manufacturers and the Common Ground Alliance have partnered to advance safe digging awareness, support consistent industry guidance and promote best practices for contacting 811 before digging and operating equipment around underground infrastructure. As one of the first tangible actions under the shared principles, AEM and CGA are recommending that non-highway equipment manufacturers add an 811-reminder decal to equipment that may unintentionally dig into underground utilities. Modular Building Institute, Center for Offsite Construction to Launch Accreditation Board for Offsite Construction Education

The Modular Building Institute and the Center for Offsite Construction at New York Institute of Technology have partnered to create the Accreditation Board for Offsite Construction Education, a new independent nonprofit organization dedicated to accrediting university degree programs in offsite construction. The new accrediting body will help colleges and universities build rigorous undergraduate and graduate degree programs that prepare students for careers in offsite construction, a field that combines architectural design, engineering systems, manufacturing processes, supply-chain logistics, transportation, site assembly and coordinated project delivery. Construction is completion of Waterline, a 74-story mixed-use tower in Austin, Texas. The tower rises 1,025 feet above downtown and stands as the tallest building in Texas. DPR Construction served as general contractor on the project that wrapped up in 48 months. Topping-out Ceremony Celebrated for New Cancer and Advanced Ambulatory Building

The University of Kentucky celebrated the topping out of its new UK HealthCare Cancer and Advanced Ambulatory Building as the final signed steel beam was lifted into place, marking a major milestone for the 550,000-square-foot facility. Walsh Construction is delivering the project alongside HGA Architects and Engineers and Champlin Architecture. The new building will bring outpatient cancer services, which are currently spread across six areas of the UK campus together into one location. German Construction Company Uses 3D Printing Division for Headquarters

Matthäi Schlüsselfertigbau, a subsidiary of the German construction company Matthäi, has established its own construction 3D-printing division. The decision followed the successful completion of the company’s new two-story headquarters in Selsingen, Lower Saxony, (Germany) printed with a COBOD BOD2 construction 3D printer and occupied in summer 2026. PERI 3D Construction acted as technology partner and supervisor during the printing phase, in collaboration with architects Schulenburg and planning firm Mense-Korte.
