McCarthy Begins Mobilization of Construction Workforce, Hiring for Solar Project in Texas

McCarthy Building Companies has contracted with Leeward Renewable Energy as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for a utility-scale solar farm in Pearsall, Texas. The company is responsible for the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the 200-megawatt facility. McCarthy’s renewable energy & storage team is hiring approximately 150 craftworkers to construct the Horizon Solar project, with new crews starting work in October.
