The preconstruction contract for Yale University’s $365-million Physical Sciences and Engineering Building project was awarded to Turner Construction Company. This project will feature forward-thinking sustainability efforts, including carbon reduction to lower energy and carbon impact during the construction process. The building will also target net-zero performance and rely on a concerted prefabrication and Lean strategy. Construction is complete on The Ridge at Paradise Valley Estates, a new eight-acre life plan community located in Fairfield, California. Sundt Construction, Inc. served as the general contractor. The Ridge features a mix of 70 cottages and villas. The private cottages have two bedrooms and attached garages, and the villas are either one bedroom or two bedrooms with under-building parking. Community leaders and stakeholders recently celebrated the grand opening of Ameren Missouri’s new $20.7-million North Metro Operating Center, located in St. Louis, Missouri and constructed through a joint-venture partnership with general contractors PARIC Corporation and KAI Build. The new North Metro Operating Center is built for up to 70 Ameren Missouri employees and serves more than 135,000 customers in North St. Louis and surrounding communities.
