The recently completed Dallas County South Dallas Government Center combines the amenities of a modern, sustainable facility with a socially conscious design emphasizing justice equality. The new $22-million government center replaces and consolidates three aging facilities under one roof to house Dallas County’s Tax Office; Veteran’s Affairs; County Constable; Sheriff’s Traffic Division, Dispatch and K-9 Unit and two Justice of the Peace courts. This summer, Stetson University will break ground on the new Cici & Hyatt Brown Hall for Health & Innovation, located in Deland, Florida. The end result will be a 120,000-square-foot science complex for students studying the health sciences, environmental sciences and other fields. The building is named for longtime trustees and supporters Hyatt and Cici Brown, who donated $18 million to the project in 2018.
