Marc and Sharon Hagle recently joined officials of Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana, for the groundbreaking ceremony of Marc and Sharon Hagle Hall, the new home of Purdue Bands & Orchestras. Approved by the Purdue Board of Trustees in December 2019, the $20-million, 37,500-square-foot, four-story facility will be built along Third Street’s Student Success Corridor, which connects student residential areas with the campus’ academic center. A physically distant ceremony was recently held to celebrate the installation of the final steel beam for the St. Johns Terminal development, located in New York City. Sixth South, a 299-unit multifamily rental community within the downtown core of Nashville, Tennessee, recently topped out. Skanska USA is serving as general contractor. The 12-story building reached this milestone ahead of schedule, on pace for a fourth quarter 2021 opening. Located on the south side of Nashville’s growing SoBro neighborhood, an up-and-coming area of Nashville, the project will include 5,400 square feet of complementary commercial space and a parking garage. Prefabrication Expedites Delivery, Enhances Construction Safety of New ED Banner Boswell Medical Center
The new emergency department Banner Boswell Medical Center, located in Sun City, Arizona, opened recently and is accepting patients. The project team included McCarthy Building Companies, HMC Architects. The new 40,000-square-foot ED is part of a larger $106-million expansion project that also includes a new patient tower. This is the largest renovation that the medical facility has undergone in 30 years. The new ED increases capacity from 42 to 56 beds, allowing the department to care for up to 60,000 ED patients annually, representing a 25% increase.
