The University of Missouri hosted a virtual topping off ceremony to celebrate the last steel beam being placed atop the $220.8-million NextGen Precision Health Institute. As the cornerstone of the statewide NextGen Precision Health Initiative, the institute will be the home of translational research and life-saving precision health solutions that will benefit Missourians and the world. Renovations Slated for Savannah Youth Treatment Center

Major renovations are underway on Coastal Harbor Treatment Center, a facility located in Savannah, Georgia. This treatment center provides mental health services and programs for children and adolescents, ages 4-17, with short- and long-term inpatient care, helping them cope with crisis situations or ongoing behavioral mental or emotional difficulties. The $7.1-million project will cover 68,000 square feet of renovations and upgrades to CHTC, which JE Dunn built in 1985. Construction of the Hemphill Street connector in Fort Worth, Texas, has recently been completed. McCarthy Building Companies served as construction manager at risk for the city of Fort Worth project, which included the construction of a roadway and pedestrian pathway tunnel underneath Interstate Highway 30, as well as a new rail bridge to support four existing Union Pacific Railroad lines. Construction Underway on $27M Botany Building Renovation at UCLA

A $27-million upgrade to the University of California, Los Angeles has commenced, which includes an extensive renovation to the campus’ Botany Building. The project team includes BNBuilders and CO Architects. The renovations at UCLA’s 4-level, 37,351-square-foot Botany Building include the building and an adjacent herbarium. The work consists of removing all existing interior partitions; mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and hazardous materials; and installing new MEP and life safety systems, new roof, entrance, accessibility upgrades, seismic upgrades, technical equipment upgrades and interior finishes.
