Skanska has signed a contract with the ARK Group to build the Irving Music Factory in Las Colinas, Texas and will include $94 million in order bookings for Skanska USA in the first quarter 2016. Skanska will convert the 16.8-acre greenfield site into a world-class entertainment destination. It will include an 8,000-seating capacity indoor/outdoor concert hall called the Pavillion, operated by the world’s largest concert promoter, Live Nation. RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Sundt Construction, Inc. was recently selected as general contractor by California Baptist University for a new events center and arena located on the southeast quadrant of the school’s main campus in Riverside, California. The $73-million project will create the 66-year-old university’s largest gathering space and events center to accommodate a surge in growth over the past few years. Hourigan-Sundt JV Awarded $36M Project at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, recently awarded Hourigan-Sundt, a joint venture of Hourigan Construction and Sundt Construction, Inc., a $36-million contract to design, construct and renovate an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Consolidated Operations Complex at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The 150,000-square-foot project will provide space for operations, logistics, storage and administrative support facilities. MYCON General Contractors Begins Renovation, Modernization of 1970s Office Building
MC KINNEY, Texas — MYCON General Contractors has begun work on the exterior and interior renovation of its future company headquarters, a three-story, 46,071 square-foot office building located at 17311 Dallas Parkway, in Dallas, Texas. MYCON bought the building in in the fourth quarter of 2015 and will relocate to the new building in the spring of 2017. Originally constructed in 1979 and situated on a 1.9-acre tract, the building will be completely gutted and reskinned. Construction is targeted for completion in January 2017. O’Brien Architects is the architect.
