NYC DPR Awards Hill International Two Contracts

PHILADELPHIA, Pa., and NEW YORK, N.Y. – Hill International has been awarded two contracts by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. The two contracts have a combined estimated value to Hill of approximately $12.0 million. Pursuant to both contracts, Hill will provide construction project management services as needed for the construction or reconstruction of parks, playgrounds, buildings and facilities located throughout the five boroughs of New York City. One contract is for large projects and the other contract is for small projects.

Hourigan Construction Named Lead General Contractor for New Tower

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A new high-rise is set to take shape in downtown Richmond, Virginia for Dominion Resources, and Hourigan Construction was chosen by the power and energy company as the lead construction management firm for the project. Hourigan will direct all aspects of the structure’s Design-Build from preconstruction to final closeout. Brasfield & Gorrie Completes New Coca-Cola Distribution, Sales Center

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Brasfield & Gorrie joined Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc. for a recent ribbon cutting ceremony marking the opening of the new Coca-Cola Bottling Company United distribution and sales center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Situated on a 38-acre site that was previously home to Olan Mills, the single-story, 350,000-square-foot facility includes 231,000 square feet of warehouse space, as well as 40,000 square feet of office space, a fleet maintenance shop and a truck wash bay. Chattanooga Coca-Cola will move its distribution facility and regional offices to the new center, while bottling operations will continue at the company’s existing location. […]

Winter Construction Tops Out at SpringHill Suites in Orange Beach

ATLANTA, GA. – Winter Construction has topped out the new SpringHill Suites hotel at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama. The five-story building will include 132 guest suites, meeting space and restaurant space. Winter will also build an exterior amenity area with a swimming pool. Rule Joy Trammel + Rubio served as lead designer for the hotel and the amenity area. The Wharf is an entertainment, retail and marina complex adjacent to the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway in Orange Beach, near the Florida-Alabama border. Sundt Completes Lab Renovations at California State University

CAMARILLO, Calif. – Sundt Construction, Inc. recently completed a $2.4-million laboratory renovation at California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo. Designed to accommodate the needs of the university’s biology and chemistry departments, the Design-Build project included installation and reconfiguration of casework, fume hoods, mechanical and electrical systems, and equipment within four existing dry laboratories inside the campus’s Aliso Hall building. The Aliso Hall renovation is one of three projects Sundt has been contracted to build on the CI campus.
