Construction firm Robins & Morton completed a new $120 million, 131,000-square-foot long-term care facility for the Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority in Cherokee, North Carolina. The facility — called the Tsali Care Center — stands two stories and contains 120 private resident rooms. It is devoted to the care of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and will feature skilled nursing, assisted living and memory care services, in addition to a dialysis center. The 200-bed, $232 million facility, being built on a 54-acre site, will offer short- and long-term treatment for psychiatric patients of all ages. A big milestone has been reached on the $32-million expansion project at the historic Phoenix Theatre Company. Subcontractor, Rouser Concrete, completed the final concrete pour for the structural walls for the new Dr. Stacie J. and Richard J Stephenson Theatre, under construction in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Crews battled the physical and structural challenges of building in extreme summer heat, working early morning hours to avoid recorded temperatures up to 130 F in the basement area.
