The stand down held a 60-second moment of silence to recognize the 229 overdose deaths for every 100,000 construction workers. Two safety bulletins have been published: Emergency Rescue Baskets and Concrete Burns. Safety bulletins are brief discussions of the most severe safety issues facing concrete contractors and are published periodically. American Society of Concrete Contractors members receive a complete set of bulletins when they join the organization. They are available for sale to non-members. Partnership to Address Mental Health and Suicide Prevention in the Construction Industry
A collaborative partnership between the Associated Builders and Contractors and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will address mental health and suicide prevention throughout the U.S. construction industry.
