Gilbane Building Company is providing construction management services for the DICK’S House of Sport new retail location in Downtown Boston, Massachusetts. Once complete, this will be the first House of Sport located directly in an urban center. The House of Sport location will provide athletes with an assortment of products, along with in-store experiences, including a climbing wall, multiple golf bays with TrackMan simulators and multi-sport cages that can be used for baseball, softball, lacrosse and soccer. Associated Builders and Contractors reported that its Construction Backlog Indicator declined to nine months in September, according to an ABC member survey conducted Sept. 20 to Oct. 4. Turner Secures Contract to Build Westchester Medical Center Patient Care Tower

Turner Construction Company has secured a contract to build a $186-million patient care tower on Westchester Medical Center’s Valhalla, New York campus. Construction is set to begin at the end of 2023 and will result in the addition of 128 hospital beds to serve patients needing trauma care, neurosciences, cardiology and general surgery. The additional beds will increase patient care capacity and enhance training for medical residents and students. Alquist 3D to Transform Greeley, Colorado, into Epicenter of 3D Construction Printing

Alquist 3D is receiving over $4 million in support and incentives from Greeley and the state of Colorado to transform the region into the epicenter of high-tech 3D home and infrastructure printing. The public-private partnership between the city, state and Alquist also involves close collaboration with Aims Community College to train students and create an economic ecosystem with an emphasis on innovation and workforce development.
