Officials Break Ground on Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner Building
Pima County officials marked the start of construction of the new Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner, a $45-million facility designed to meet future growth within Pima County in Arizona and the region. Kitchell is overseeing the project construction, with design services provided by SmithGroup. The 34,000-square-foot facility will have two distinct zones. One area will support administrative functions with offices, a public lobby, meeting rooms, a large conference room and other support spaces. For the fourth time, Florida claimed the top spot in Associated Builders and Contractors’ eighth annual Merit Shop Scorecard, a ranking of all 50 states and the District of Columbia based on policies and programs that strengthen career pathways in construction, encourage workforce development and advocate for fair and open competition on taxpayer-funded construction projects. TCU’s Burnett School of Medicine Breaks Ground in Fort Worth
TCU broke ground on the newly named Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University. The University’s first major off-campus development, known as the Burnett School of Medicine, will further advance TCU’s mission to transform healthcare by inspiring its 240 Empathetic Scholars when the new building opens in Summer 2024. Commercial, Institutional, Healthcare Construction Drive ABC’s Backlog Indicator to Highest Level Since Q2 2019
Associated Builders and Contractors’ Construction Backlog Indicator has increased to 9.2 months in November, according to an ABC member survey conducted Nov. 21-Dec. 6. The reading is .8 months higher than in November 2021. View ABC’s Construction Backlog Indicator and Construction Confidence Index tables for November 2022. Backlog is now at its highest level since the second quarter of 2019.
