Gilbane Building Company and joint venture partner Mosites Construction Company gathered with Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to celebrate the topping off ceremony for the new Robotics Innovation Center at Hazelwood Green and the success of the project thus far. The Jerry Smith Community Wellness Center Opens in Nevada

Neenan Archistruction and Northern Nevada HOPES celebrated the grand opening of The Jerry Smith Community Wellness Center in Reno, Nevada. The Jerry Smith Community Wellness Center provides services including primary medical care, behavioral health care, case management, resource navigation, support groups, substance use treatment, an onsite pharmacy and transportation. The clinic includes a first-floor walk-in clinic, designed to reduce emergency service calls by providing residents an alternative to ambulance-based medical care. Prices of Construction Materials Fall 0.3%

Construction input prices fell 0.3% in June compared to the previous month, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Producer Price Index data. Nonresidential construction input prices declined 0.4% for the month. Overall construction input prices are 1.1% higher than a year ago, while nonresidential construction input prices are 0.7% higher. Prices increased in 2 of 3 energy subcategories last month. Natural gas prices were up 36.3%. The aggregate price of unprocessed energy materials was up 4.7%. Crude petroleum prices were down 0.2% for the month.

NECA, MCAA, SMACNA and TAUC Sign Strategic Alliance Agreement

The National Electrical Contractors Association, Mechanical Contractors Association of America, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association and Association of Union Constructors officially signed a strategic alliance agreement on July 10.
