Swinerton completed the Presidio Tunnel Tops project, a 14-acre park that sits atop the Presidio Parkway tunnels in San Francisco, California. The $118-million project replaces Doyle Drive. The park features scenic overlooks, trails and picnic areas, alongside views of the Golden Gate Bridge. The area is surrounded by meadows that host 180 varieties of plants native to the area. AISI Reaccredited by ANSI as American National Standards Developer

The American Iron and Steel Institute has been reaccredited by the American National Standards Institute under its revised operating procedures for documenting consensus on AISI-sponsored American National Standards. The revised procedures replace the previous version approved June 13, 2017. AISI serves as Secretariat for two standards-developing committees: 1) the Committee on Specifications, which addresses the broad range of cold-formed steel structural member behavior and design for building construction, and 2) the Committee on Framing Standards, which focuses on cold-formed steel light-frame construction. Poettker Construction Achieves Platinum Level through ABC Safety Program

Poettker Construction Company has achieved platinum level in Associated Builders and Contractor’s STEP Safety Management System. The Poettker team performed more than 346,000 manhours with zero lost-time or recordable incidents in 2021 and received safety awards from the Central Illinois Builders of AGC. ABC’s Construction Backlog Inches Lower

Associated Builders and Contractors reports that its Construction Backlog Indicator fell 0.1 months in June and stands at 8.9 months, according to an ABC member survey conducted June 21-July 5. The reading is up 0.4 months from June 2021. The index readings for sales, profit margins and staffing levels declined in June. The indices for sales and staffing remain above the threshold of 50, indicating expectations of growth over the next six months, while the reading for profit margins fell below the threshold of 50 for the first time since October 2021.
