Work is underway on a three-building industrial development that sits along Interstate 10 in Phoenix, Arizona. ViaWest Group and its building partners Willmeng Construction, Butler Design Group and Kimley-Horn broke ground on the 512,710-square-foot Converge Logistics Center in January. ViaWest Group signed a 77-year ground lease with Kyrene School District on the 28.6-acre parcel. SEAA Hosts Career Fair Highlighting the Steel Construction Industry
The Steel Erectors Association of America hosted nearly 300 students from five school districts and several dozen military veterans for its construction career fair in January 2022. SEAA’s Long Range Planning Committee spearheaded the event, which was hosted by member company Adaptive Construction Solutions, Inc., at its training facility in Houston, Texas. Majority of Metro Areas Added Construction Jobs in 2021, Soaring Job Openings Indicate Labor Shortages Getting Worse
Construction employment increased in nearly two out of three U.S. metro areas in 2021, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of new government employment data.
