The International Code Council and the Modular Building Institute have published two new comprehensive standards that will accelerate the offsite construction industry. ICC/MBI 1200-2021 Standard for Off-Site Construction: Planning, Design, Fabrication and Assembly and ICC/MBI 1205-2021 Standard for Off-Site Construction: Inspection and Regulatory Compliance are intended to promote consistency around the globe of regulatory requirements for offsite construction processes. Construction Begins on New 72,000-SF Arizona Humane Society Campus, Medical Complex

Ground has been broken for the Arizona Humane Society Rob and Melani Walton Papago Park Campus, located in Phoenix. The new 72,000-square-foot campus and medical complex will be a state-of-the-art facility that will create a sustainable, long-term system of care for the Valley’s most vulnerable animals. One-Fifth Metro Areas Lost Construction Jobs between September 2020-2021, Reports AGC

Nearly one-fifth of U.S. metro areas lost construction jobs between September 2020 and September 2021, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of government employment data. Community Celebrates Grand Opening of Ameren Missouri North Metro Operating Center

Community leaders and stakeholders recently celebrated the grand opening of Ameren Missouri’s new $20.7-million North Metro Operating Center, located in St. Louis, Missouri and constructed through a joint-venture partnership with general contractors PARIC Corporation and KAI Build. The new North Metro Operating Center is built for up to 70 Ameren Missouri employees and serves more than 135,000 customers in North St. Louis and surrounding communities.
