An expansion and renovation project is underway at Florida Heart Associates in Fort Myers, Florida. The project team includes Stevens Construction and PRA. Stevens Construction is providing a complete interior renovation of the two-story, 25,374-square-foot building, which includes an upgrade of all exam rooms, nurse stations, offices, lobby and the cardiac PET equipment. Construction was recently completed on Carter Park warehouse distribution center, located in Fort Worth, Texas, on behalf of Black Creek Group. The speculative industrial development incorporates three distribution/warehouse buildings featuring 250,000 square feet, 231,000 square feet and 88,000 square feet. The project team included general contractor McShane Construction Company and architect Callaway Architecture. Dodge Data & Analytics Reports National Construction Starts Continue Decline in February
Total construction starts fell 2% in February to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $797.3 billion. Nonbuilding construction starts posted a solid gain after rebounding from a weak January, however, residential and nonresidential building starts declined, leading to a pullback in overall activity. Largest Capital Improvement Project Underway in City of Canton
Construction has begun on the Canton Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion project in Canton, Georgia. The $67-million project is the largest capital improvement project undertaken in the city’s history. The project will be fully funded by Canton’s Water and Sewer Fund revenues. Clark Construction Group and joint venture partner Reeves Young is serving as the general contractor. Atkins is the project engineer.
