After seven years of construction, the Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement Project, located in California, is now complete. Annual Common Ground Alliance DIRT Report Reveals Utility Damages Continue Upward Trend

Common Ground Alliance announced the findings from its 2019 Damage Information Reporting Tool Report. The report analyzed all 2019 data submitted voluntarily by facility operators, utility locating companies, one call centers, contractors, regulators and others from the U.S. and Canada using an in-depth statistical modeling process. The results of this analysis found that an estimated 532,000 excavation-related damages to underground facilities occurred in the U.S. in 2019, a 4.5% increase compared to the 2018 estimate of 509,000 damages. Royal Oaks Campus Expansion Underway in Sun City

Expansion has begun on the campus of Royal Oaks, a Sun City, Arizona retirement community. This is the second time in the past decade general contractor Sundt Construction has worked on the Royal Oaks campus. In 2015, the company built the Friendship House. Sundt will help shape Royal Oaks’ newest neighborhood, Inspirata Pointe, by adding four new independent living buildings and new pavilions to the westside neighborhood. New York’s Newest Iconic Office Tower Touted Second Tallest Office Building in City

A ribbon cutting celebrated the historic opening of One Vanderbilt, New York City’s newest iconic skyscraper. The building abuts Grand Central Terminal and is now the second tallest office tower in New York City. AECOM Tishman served as construction manager on the 1,401-foot office tower in Midtown East. The firm completed the project ahead of schedule and under budget.
