1st Hyatt Centric Boutique Hotel Underway in Charlotte

A Hyatt Centric hotel project for the upscale Apex SouthPark development in Charlotte, North Carolina, is underway with JE Dunn Construction as general contractor. The 135,000-square-foot Hyatt Centric SouthPark will feature 175 rooms and amenities including retail and restaurant on the ground level, bar and pre-function/ballroom on the second level and fitness and restaurant/bar on the ninth-level rooftop. Construction Employment Continues to Decline, AGC Calls for New Relief Steps

Construction employment decreased from June to July in 26 states and the District of Columbia as earlier widespread job gains gave way to more project cancellations, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of government employment data. Construction of Noble Vines at Braselton, a new multi-family residence near Atlanta, Georgia, is complete. The development was constructed on behalf of Claret Communities utilizing HUD 221(d)(4) financing. Built with sustainability in mind, it meets the National Green Building Standard Bronze Level. McShane Construction Company served as general contractor on the project.
