Construction employment grew in 231, or 65%, out of 358 metro areas between October 2018 and October 2019, declined in 69 and was unchanged in 58, according to a new analysis of federal employment data released by the Associated General Contractors of America. Ground Broken for Columbus Crew MLS Stadium

Ground was recently broken for the new downtown Columbus Crew Major League Soccer Stadium, located in Ohio and set to open in July 2021. Turner Construction Company and joint venture partner Smoot Construction Company are providing the Design-Build services for the 460,000-square-foot facility, which will serve as the home to the Columbus Crew Soccer Club. Construction Employment Increases in 41 States, D.C. Year-Over-Year

Forty-one states and the District of Columbia added construction jobs between October 2018 and October 2019, while construction employment increased in 28 states from September to October, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of Labor Department data.
