Multi-Phased Renovations Completed for Southcoast Health at Rosebrook
Chapman Construction has completed an 8,500-square-foot multi-phased occupied renovation project for Southcoast Health at Rosebrook in Wareham, Massachusetts. The project was completed in an occupied setting and resulted in improvements to multiple areas, including patient waiting rooms, cardiology treatment room, nurses’ stations, bathrooms and more. The first phase of work concentrated on renovations to combine separate patient waiting areas into one convenient space. Due to needing to maintain patient access while the site was active, a temporary waiting area was created in a nearby conference room and a hallway was constructed to preserve pedestrian flow to other areas of the medical practice. Sherman’s healthcare landscape is poised for transformation, as Community Hospital Corporation has unveiled plans for a $400-million nonprofit acute care hospital. The newly planned facility, Heritage Regional Medical Center, will set a new benchmark for modern healthcare delivery by combining advanced technology, thoughtful design and compassionate patient care for Sherman and the surrounding community. ABC: Construction Backlog Indicator Rises, Contractor Optimism Slips in July
Associated Builders and Contractors reported that its Construction Backlog Indicator rose to 8.8 months in July, according to an ABC member survey conducted July 24 to Aug. 4. The reading is up 0.4 months since July 2024. Backlog is up on a year-over-year basis in every region except for the South. Despite the lack of growth, backlog in the South remains significantly longer than in any other region. ABC’s Construction Confidence Index reading for sales and profit margins declined in July, while the reading for staffing levels rose to the highest level since April. LeChase Oversees Expansion, Renovation of Minisink Valley High School Gymnasium
LeChase Construction Services is overseeing the expansion and renovation of athletic facilities at Minisink Valley High School in Middletown, New York. Taking advantage of the summer break, when the school’s 1,100 students are not in class, construction crews are adding a cardio room and new equipment storage room while upgrading the existing space. The entire project covers about 3,000 square feet and is designed by Tetra Tech Architects & Engineers. The new rooms and renovated space are scheduled to be available for use in the fall, shortly after the start of the 2025-26 school year.
