SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Clark Construction’s team in San Francisco, California has topped out 150 Van Ness, a 420-unit apartment building taking shape in the heart of the city’s Civic Center neighborhood. The milestone marks the completion of the building’s cast-in-place concrete superstructure and comes nine months after the project’s mud slab was poured. Architecture Billings Index Growth Moderates
WASHINGTON, D.C. – For the sixth consecutive month, architecture firms reported increasing demand for design services as reflected in the July Architecture Billings Index. As a leading economic indicator of construction activity, the ABI reflects the approximate 9-12-month lead time between architecture billings and construction spending. The American Institute of Architects reported the July ABI score was 51.9, down from a score of 54.2 in the previous month. Christa Andresky has been promoted to senior vice president, risk management and chief accounting officer. Andresky is responsible for leading Turner’s tax and accounting groups, as well as Turner’s Risk Management group.
