TUCSON, Ariz. – Sundt-Kiewit, a joint venture between Sundt Construction, Inc. and Kiewit Infrastructure West Co., has broken ground on the Interstate 10/Ina Road Traffic Interchange reconstruction in Tucson, Arizona. The project aims to reduce traffic delays and increase safety by eliminating the existing at-grade crossing of Ina Road and the Union Pacific Railroad and building an overpass that takes Ina Road over I-10. Nonresidential Spending Slips in August

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Nonresidential construction spending fell for a second consecutive month in August, according to a recent analysis of U.S. Census Bureau released by Associated Builders and Contractors. Nonresidential spending totaled $686.6 billion on a seasonally adjusted, annualized basis for the month, 1.1 percent lower than July’s total of $694.1 billion (revised down from $701 billion) and 1.3 percent below August 2015’s figure. Private nonresidential construction spending fell just 0.4 percent for the month, while its public sector counterpart shrank 2 percent. James Merritt Named Kadean Construction Superintendent

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – James Merritt has been named construction superintendent by Kadean Construction Company. Merritt, of St. Charles, Missouri, has more than 25 years of construction supervision experience, while also focusing on workplace safety, quality workmanship and meeting completion deadlines.
