James Merritt Named Kadean Construction Superintendent

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – James Merritt has been named construction superintendent by Kadean Construction Company. Merritt, of St. Charles, Missouri, has more than 25 years of construction supervision experience, while also focusing on workplace safety, quality workmanship and meeting completion deadlines. His assignments range from local bridge work to $80-million projects with as many as 300 construction workers onsite. Merritt will immediately serve as co-superintendent on Kadean’s interior build-out of the new Amazon facility at the Lakeview Commerce Center in Edwardsville, Illinois. Construction Employment Increases in 3/5 of Nation’s Metro Areas Between August 2015 & 2016

Construction employment increased in three-fifths of metro areas between August 2015 and August 2016—the smallest share in nearly three and a half years—as contractors in many areas report difficulty in finding qualified workers, according to a new analysis of federal employment data recently released by the Associated General Contractors of America. The Korte Company begins construction on the Edmond Readiness Center in Edmond, Oklahoma.
