Balfour Beatty JV Awarded Hong Kong International Airport Expansion Contract

Balfour Beatty and 50/50 joint venture, Gammon, has been awarded a four-year HK$12.88-billion contract for the expansion of terminal 2 at Hong Kong International Airport, by the Airport Authority Hong Kong. Gammon will be responsible for the expansion of the main terminal 2 building and construction of interconnecting bridges, mechanical and electrical works, as well as associated viaducts and roads. CIMIC Group company, CPB Contractors, has been awarded Auckland (New Zealand) Airport’s Taxiway Mike and Remote Stands Stage 2 project, a critical component in the facility’s major capital works program. The contract will generate revenue to CPB Contractors of approximately NZ$221 million over the next two years. JE Dunn Construction has completed a $102-million, technology-integrated parking and ground transportation center and related improvements at Nashville International Airport in Tennessee. The new center is a component of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority’s BNA Vision, a $1.2-billion expansion and renovation plan to accommodate regional population growth and the airport’s record-breaking passenger increases.
