AWC Publishes Updates to Wind & Seismic Standard

The American Wood Council published the 2027 edition of the Special Design Provisions for Wind and Seismic (ANSI/AWC SDPWS-2027), the wood product industry’s standard for designing in high seismic and wind zones. The new edition has been approved as an American National Standard by the American National Standards Institute and will be referenced in the 2027 I-Codes. AWC Releases Updates to Connection Calculator

The American Wood Council has released an updated version of its Connection Calculator. The Calculator supports users by calculating capacities for single bolts, nails, lag screws and wood screws based on the provisions of the 2024 National Design Specification for Wood Construction. AWC Releases Construction Fire Best Practice Manuals, Website
