MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Modjeski and Masters has been selected for the 2018 Biennial Inspection of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge from the Delaware River Port Authority. This historic structure features a 1,750-foot main suspended span and is over 9,500 feet in total length. As the prime consultant for this contract, Modjeski and Masters will perform a close visual hands-on inspection of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge facility in 2018. The goal is to update the condition of all fracture-critical members and fatigue-sensitive evaluations. New Bridge Opens Across UK’s Biggest Road Project

The A14 Integrated Delivery Team, comprised of Balfour Beatty, Skanska and Costain, has completed the second of 34 bridges and main structures on the UK’s biggest road project. The newly opened bridge forms part of Highways England’s £1.5 billion major improvement scheme on the A14. The project will see the upgrade of a 21-mile stretch of the A14 between Cambridge and Huntingdon from two to three lanes in each direction including a brand new 17-mile bypass south of Huntingdon.
