The Denver Health and Hospital Authority has selected Turner Construction Company to manage construction of a net-zero parking structure in the middle of downtown Denver, Colorado. The $25-million Design-Build project will feature a rooftop photovoltaic array and other green features that will enable the garage to operate 98 percent of the year with the electrical meter spinning backwards, selling power back to the local utility. KAI Design & Build has completed construction of St. Louis, Missouri’s new $8.5-million Deaconess Center for Child Well-Being—a 21,272-square-foot facility providing meeting and office space for child advocates, civic leaders and community organizers dedicated to enhancing the well-being of at-risk children. McShane Construction Company’s Southwest Region is growing with the addition of three experienced veterans to the team in its Phoenix, Arizona office. Marc Roberts, LEED AP, was hired as the new director of pre-construction. Roberts will lead McShane’s comprehensive pre-construction services for numerous projects within the multi-family, industrial, office and healthcare markets, among others. Haselden Construction, Colorado State University Achieve Major Milestones
The last several weeks represented major milestones for Haselden Construction and Colorado State University. Both the AZ (Anatomy/Zoology) Addition and the JBS Global Food Innovation Center in Honor of Gary and Kay Smith celebrated topping outs – the last piece of structural steel being placed and symbolizing the halfway point of the project.
