ATLANTA, Ga. – Winter Construction has topped out the new Solis Hotel Two Porsche Drive. The new eight-story luxury hotel is adjacent to Georgia’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Porsche North America headquarters. The topping out at Solis Hotel is especially notable given the unique design of the roof, which includes a terrace lounge with panoramic views of the Porsche driver development track and landings and takeoffs at the airport. The 818,000-square-foot project is situated on a 47-acre site with three entrances onto the property and includes a 788,845-square-foot processing and distribution center with administration, maintenance and employee support areas and is located in Portland, Oregon. The distribution facility features areas specified for a Business Mail Entry Unit and United States Postal Inspection Services. The building consists of workroom, which houses fixed mechanization equipment and postal automation equipment, and a mail platform with a total of 92 dock positions. Sundt Celebrates Completion of Hausman Road Improvement Project

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Sundt Construction, Inc. recently celebrated the completion of the city of San Antonio, Texas’ first Design-Build road improvement project during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Hausman Road. The major thoroughfare connects Loop 1604 to Interstate 10. The project also incorporated two Bexar County road projects at two stages of design and all public utilities work along the roadway. Construction of Cincinnati Children’s/UC Health Proton Therapy Center Complete

HOUSTON, Texas and CINCINNATI, Ohio – Linbeck Group and Messer Construction Co. has completed the Cincinnati Children’s/UC Health Proton Therapy Center in Ohio, the second facility of its kind in the world owned by a children’s hospital. The total cost of the project is $120 million. The two-story, 89,549-square-foot facility features a vault to house the 9 ton, super-conducting cyclotron system and three treatment bays, or gantries, with additional space for a fourth bay to be built when needed.
