Gilbane Federal Awarded Contract to Build Littoral Innovation and Prototyping Facility Project

Gilbane Federal has been awarded a multiple award construction contract by Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast for the construction of a Littoral Innovation and Prototyping Facility at Naval Support Activity Panama City, Florida. The project supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division and will replace nine buildings that received damage from Hurricane Michael in October 2018. The work provides for construction of a 54,475 square-foot laboratory, and support space capable of housing workspace and laboratories for engineers and scientists. Gilbane Building Company joined Hudson River Park in celebrating the groundbreaking of the Pier 26 Science Play Area in New York City. Gilbane is managing construction of the recreational space in Hudson River Park. The groundbreaking was marked by a ceremony held at Pier 26 on Dec. 14. Gilbane Building Company joined NYC Parks, NYC Economic Development Corporation and Bronx elected and community officials, to break ground on the $87-million Orchard Beach Pavilion project to restore the historic 140,000-square-foot space. The groundbreaking was celebrated with a ceremony on Dec. 13 at Orchard Beach. Gilbane is serving as the construction manager for the renovation project. Gilbane Building Company has been selected by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts as the Construction Manager at Risk, charged with planning and supervising construction of the museum’s upcoming renovation and expansion project, which includes the James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Wing II, the largest expansion in its history. Gilbane | Turner in Association with 34 Group Selected to Build Stadium for the Buffalo Bills

The joint venture of Gilbane Building Company and Turner Construction Company in association with 34 Group, has been selected by Pegula Sports & Entertainment to provide construction management of the planned new NFL stadium for the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park, New York.
