Gammon Construction Wins Contract for Lyric Theatre in West Kowloon Cultural District

Gammon Construction Limited has been awarded a HK$1.5 billion contract by the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in Hong Kong to deliver the extended basement and public infrastructure works for the L1 Contract for Lyric Theatre Complex and Extended Basement at WKCD. The project involves excavation and lateral support followed by construction of a two-level reinforced concrete structure, as well as public infrastructure works including drainage, a traffic lay-by and associated temporary works. CPB Contractors to Deliver Victoria’s West Gate Tunnel Project

Workers have started clearing the site where tunneling will begin for Australia’s West Gate tunnel project. Contractors will dig down more than seven stories, clearing the way for the project’s two tunnel boring machines. Major construction work is expected to start in early 2018 with the project scheduled to open to traffic in 2022. The project contract was awarded to Hochtief’s CPB Contractors and John Holland. ZÜBLIN Starts Construction for Germany’s First Timber High-Rise

The 10-story SKAIO high-rise in Heilbronn, based on a design by architectural firm Kaden+Lager, is being built by Stadtsiedlung Heilbronn GmbH and ZÜBLIN. When completed, it will be the tallest timber building in Germany. The 112-foot-tall building is being erected as part of the city exhibition for the BUGA 2019 horticulture show in Heilbronn. Bee’ah Achieves Milestone Toward Completion of Iconic HQ

Bee’ah, the Sharjah, UAE -based environmental management company, has made headway in the construction of its iconic new headquarters. The company commemorated the completion of the highest point of the structure, with a topping-out ceremony held at the site in Al Saj’ah.
