Joint Ventured Tapped for $1.2B Austin Convention Center Redevelopment Project

A joint-venture team of Turner Construction Company and JE Dunn Construction was awarded a contract to lead a $1.2-billion redevelopment and expansion of the Austin Convention Center in Texas. The project will involve demolishing and rebuilding the convention center over four years. The expansion and redevelopment will nearly double the amount of rentable space allowing the convention center to remain competitive in the marketplace. The redevelopment will also deliver a community-friendly event space that will transform the southeast quadrant of downtown and provide connectivity between downtown and East Austin. Construction will be complete in 2028.

Sixth and Guadalupe Mixed-Use Tower Tops Out in Austin

Standing taller than any building in Austin, Texas, Sixth and Guadalupe has topped out at its final height of 865 feet. This milestone has been two and a half years of a steady vertical climb and was met successfully.
