Completed this summer and located in Texas, the new 27,000-square-foot Dallas County Sheriff’s Academy serves as the main training facility for both sworn peace officers and cadets in the county’s academy. Situated on the southern end of a 12-acre campus, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, Constables and Parkland Hospital System Police Department will all utilize this academy as the training ground for initial and continuing education needs. Community Celebrates Grand Opening of Ameren Missouri North Metro Operating Center

Community leaders and stakeholders recently celebrated the grand opening of Ameren Missouri’s new $20.7-million North Metro Operating Center, located in St. Louis, Missouri and constructed through a joint-venture partnership with general contractors PARIC Corporation and KAI Build. The new North Metro Operating Center is built for up to 70 Ameren Missouri employees and serves more than 135,000 customers in North St. Louis and surrounding communities. Largest Capital Improvement Project Underway in City of Canton

Construction has begun on the Canton Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion project in Canton, Georgia. The $67-million project is the largest capital improvement project undertaken in the city’s history. The project will be fully funded by Canton’s Water and Sewer Fund revenues. Clark Construction Group and joint venture partner Reeves Young is serving as the general contractor. Atkins is the project engineer. Joint Venture Delivers Runway Reconstruction at Biggs Army Airfield

The reconstruction of the runway at Biggs Army Airfield, located at Fort Bliss on El Paso, Texas’ eastside, has recently been completed by Sundt Construction, Inc., and its joint venture partner MRM Construction Services. The $47-million runway reconstruction project consists of approximately12,000 linear feet of runway replacement and repair, scaling down the runway to better suit modern aircraft.
